Easter Week has begun and so have the Easter preparations! Festive decorations, sweets and toys all around. And what better way than to spend a creative week organizing activities for your kids. Surely, you will have planned some of the well-known traditions such as dying eggs on Holy Thursday. But why not try something different this year, and also consider getting your kids involved?

Find easy and super fun ideas for Easter fun that we have gathered below.

Egg hunting

A traditional activity in many countries is egg hunting. A custom you can try this year. It is quite simple and it is an activity that you can organize inside or outside your home, at grandma’s place or even in a park. This year with the good weather forecast, it's a good opportunity to try it outside! What you will need are chocolate eggs, candies or even Easter toys. To get started you will need to hide them in different parts of the space you’ve chosen. You will also need baskets to give your children to store the delicacies they find. Finally, you will need some rules for a safe game and of course your little hunters!

The game can run for as long as you want. It is a good idea to set rules if there are children of different ages. For example, if you have very young and older children, it is best to advise them to take only one of the treats if they find them in many places. Thus, all ages will be able to play smoothly.

At The Wonder Room you can find an egg hunting kit as well as Easter gifts for egg hunting.

Alternative egg painting

In addition to the classic red eggs, you can make different decorated eggs with the help of your children. It's an easy and fun activity, which gives you the opportunity to create, probably with less fuss, than egg dying. You can get themed stickers, Eastery or not, and stick them as you like. You can also wrap ribbons and make them look like presents or you can make your own ninja turtle eggs by sticking eyes on the ribbons!

Alternatively, you can get inspiration from the children's favorite characters and paint the eggs with colors. You will find all the craft materials you need here.

A different painting

Drawing is always a nice and creative off screen way to engage children. How about upgrading their paintings to Easter creations? You can use cotton and ribbons to stick to the bunnies and the rest of their animals! You can also try lamb crafts, with materials you have at home and with a little hand painting. Find instructions on how to make it here.

Try different activities with your children this year. It is a good opportunity to take advantage of the good weather that is coming for a little outdoor time. So why not combine your favorite outdoor activities? In a park, by the sea, even in the garden. The benefits of nature along with the festive mood are all you need to spend the most beautiful and unforgettable Easter days with your children!

Happy Easter from The Wonder Room! ????
