24MEDIA Brand Experience Director, Chris Chatziioannou, spends most of his (working) day creating content for brands in both digital and physical environments. He dedicates his free time trying to make Time out of time, in order to spend it with his girlfriend Helena and their two sons: two-year-old Hermes and nine-year-old Philip.
Could you describe to us a daily routine that describes your work-life balance?
Many a few blokes moan for their snoozing phones but when my alarm goes off every morning at 7am I am the happiest man in the world. Two-year-old Hermes is already calling out ‘Dad!’ and that's because we will be spending the next couple of hours together! We play and read books in a - what i like to call - ‘cosmic tranquillity’ status, before I eventually head out of the door at 9am for the office where my manic work day takes off. I work more or less the whole day looking forward to returning home in the evening when Hermes and Philip are already torturing Helena in every possible way. We then get a few ‘theatre of the absurd’ hours together as a family and then comes my little bedtime routine with Hermes, which I feel is sacred.
What piece of advice would you offer to other fathers or to yourself before becoming a dad?
I would tell them what I anyway tell people at the office: ‘Everything is manageable and there’s no need to stress out about what might show up’ The wave of love and happiness you get to ride when entering the unpredictable waters of parenthood is unbelievably rewarding and does not leave room for second thoughts. There’s no words to describe how complete my family makes me feel.

What do you mean only three? I am crazy for all the wooden toys in The Wonder Room but my heart is set on the Natural White Kitchen from the KIDS CONCEPT brand. Both sons spend hours and hours round it.
Our house is packed with educational toys so I’d say parents will adore the Forest Calendar (from the Classic World brand) for their little ones!
Finally, I have been eyeing this macrame lion, Lewis from brand Maison Boho which also serves as a lovely piece of decoration for the kids room!
