Albert Einstein once said: "If the bees disappeared from the earth, humans will have only four years to live."

If the bees fail to fertilize the plants, the human food chain will be lost. Climate change and rising temperatures are creating problems for bee populations resulting in the low quality of the food we grow.

According to Greenpeace, more than 35% of world food production depends on pollinating insects. If bees are extinct, 71 of the 100 most important crops in the world that are pollinated by bees will begin to disappear as well. Fruits such as apples, strawberries, and almonds will show a sharp drop in production.

Because of this overwhelming need to protect bees and other pollinators, the UN General Assembly has declared May 20 World Bee Day.

On the occasion of the International Bee Day and in order to talk to children about bees, we propose an easy decorative construction that will also help them improve their fine mobility.

Materials:

A pot (medium size) and one-half of a medium-sized Easter egg.

Sisal Rope (for a medium-sized pot we needed 10m)

Construction glue

Brush

Silicone/silicone pistol

Pair of scissors

Acrylic paint (black)

Instructions:

With the silicone we stick the end of the rope on the pot!

Pass the surface of the pot with glue and continue to wrap the rope around the perimeter.

Place one half of the Easter egg on top of the pot and continue to wrap it around the rope.

Just before the top, make a loop with a piece of small rope and stick it with silicone on the top.

Finish the wrapping of the rope at the top of the construction and glue the edge with the silicone.

Make a small circle from the excess rope and glue it with silicone to the front of the construction.

Paint it internally with black acrylic paint to create a sense of depth.

Decorate as you want on the outside (flowers, bees)
