Each and every piece of the FAF collection is designed and produced in Greece, from the Greek family business FAF, that supports Greek small business, family owned businesses and ethical fashion per se.
The FAF Kidswear & Swimwear brand is the brainchild of Arsi Argyropoulou, mother to Sophia and Melina. More often than not, the three ladies’ creative brains join forces to ‘build’ their family project together. The basic idea remains a creative mix between the Cycladic Civilisation and Pop Arty colours and motifs. As an extra bonus every piece comes in its very own unique little bag, sharing the unique garment’s motif!
Could you describe a typical day that combines your family business brand FAF with family life;
A typical day is full of activities both for my girls as well as for me. When the children are in school I am focused on work. From the afternoon onwards the out-of-school activities rally begins, along with homework, whilst I also make sure there’s homemade healthy meals every day. Usually I will head back to my laptop after the kids go to bed. I try not to switch on the laptop during weekends, however I am afraid some times there is no other option. That said, as FAF KIDSWEAR & SWIMWEAR is a new brand where both of my daughters Melina and Sophie are ‘creatively active’, I often pick their brains and it is a little family project all three of us are involved in.
What piece of advice would you offer to other mothers or to yourself before becoming a mum?
There’s no reason to stress about things. The timing when a woman will decide to have a family or dedicate more energy into her working career is quite a personal decision and every woman knows deep inside when is the right moment for her. What's definite though is that every child needs a happy mother with no ‘repressions’.
