Banana Sandwiches
Ingredients
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons miniature semisweet chocolate chips
4 slices whole wheat bread
1 medium banana, thinly sliced
Directions
Mix peanut butter, honey and cinnamon; stir in chocolate chips. Spread over bread. Layer 2 bread slices with banana slices; top with remaining bread. If desired, cut into shapes using cookie cutters.
No - Bake Peanut Butter Treats
Ingredients
1/3 cup chunky peanut butter
1/4 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup quick-cooking oats
2 Smashed Digestive Biscuits
Directions
In a small bowl, combine the peanut butter, honey and vanilla. Stir in the oats and smashed digestive biscuits. Shape into 1-in. balls. Cover and refrigerate until serving.
Peanut Butter Granola Pinwheels
Ingredients
4 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
2 flour tortillas (8 inches)
2 teaspoons honey
1/2 cup granola without raisins
Directions
Spread peanut butter over each tortilla; drizzle with honey and sprinkle with granola. Roll up; cut into slices.
PBJ on a Stick
Ingredients
2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
1 cup seedless red or green grapes
1 small banana, sliced
4 wooden skewers (5 to 6 inches)
Directions
Cut sandwiches into 1-in. squares. Alternately thread grapes, sandwich squares and banana slices onto each skewer. Serve immediately.
Peanut Butter Oatmeal
Ingredients
1-3/4 cups water
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup old-fashioned oats
2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
2 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons ground flaxseed
1/2 to 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Chopped apple, optional
Directions
In a small saucepan, bring water and salt to a boil. Stir in oats; cook 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Transfer oatmeal to 2 bowls; in each bowl, stir half each peanut butter, honey, flaxseed, cinnamon and, if desired, apple. Serve immediately.
